My name is Hendrino. I’m a professional marketer, sales management expert, business partnership strategist, and creativepreneur. I’m a book lover and would go the extra mile to acquire information, skills, and knowledge. Over the years, I have worked with several companies, climbing up the professional ladder and holding several prestigious managerial positions. I believe life is more fulfilling when we help others grow; this is the root of my passion. I’m enthusiastic about learning and always eager to share acquired knowledge with others.
I studied Management at the University of North Sumatera, Medan, Indonesia, earning a bachelor’s degree in the Faculty of Economics and Business in 2004. I went further to earn a Master of Management degree at the School of Economics and Business, Telkom University, Bandung, Indonesia, in 2018. Furthermore, I’m presently an MBA student at Argyros School of Business and Economics, Chapman University, California, USA. I will graduate in May 2020.
My professional journey started in January 2005 at PT. Matahari Putra Prima, where I worked for six months as a Management Trainee in Hypermart. My attention-to-detail skill was shaped in that third biggest retail chain in Indonesia. In July 2005, I moved to PT. Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel) – a renowned and the biggest telecommunication company in Indonesia – where I presently hold a managerial position. Working for Telkomsel has equipped me with invaluable expertise and experience in several business-related fields.
As a creativeprenuer, I started both brick-and-mortar and digital businesses including Mister Pangkas (barbershop) in 2014, kauAKU.com (web-based reviews platform), and TrasHub (trash/waste solution apps) in 2017. Starting the businesses from scratch and managing them has developed and enhanced my entrepreneur skills.
My educational background and more than fourteen years’ experience in the business world have not only made me strategic and digital marketing expert but have also given me an in-depth knowledge of sales management, strategic business partnership, mobile broadband, telecommunication management, and many more. I have a constant thirst for new knowledge and am always learning to quench the thirst.
When I’m not busy at work, you can find me doing the things I love most; these include exercising, traveling, reading, and mentoring. I do enjoy functional training and running. I have visited almost all the provinces in Indonesia and have traveled to over twenty-five countries all over the world. I pride myself as the go-to person for individuals who need personal and professional advice on their projects or businesses. I’m always eager to mentor others and open to advising students, professional colleagues, and businesses who want to tap into my vast wealth of knowledge. I have a passion for equipping people with information that will help them achieve their goals. I have shared my experience and knowledge with several people in different capacities. Teaching others and guiding them towards the path of success brings me fulfillment.
My life principle is based on The Prophet Muhammad words: “Khairunnas anfa’uhum linnas”, meaning the best man is the one who contributes the most to the mankind. The four pillars of my life are spirituality, family and friends, social activities, and work; and I continually strive to make a balance between the four pillars. Although there times I tilt the balance towards a particular pillar more than others, I always ensure I find my foot as soon as possible to create a balance. Overall, my main challenge is to always stay mentally healthy at all times.
With this website, I’ll be sharing key points from all the books that have read and those I’ll read in the future. I will regularly update it with new information, and I hope it becomes a go-to learning and information sharing platform in the nearest future.
